The Reynolds property at the corner of Oblong Road and Route 43 is a scenic and historic part of the South Williamstown landscape.
The property, acquired by the WRLF in 1994, was part of a limited development and conservation project which preserved 22 acres for agriculture and created two restricted house lots, thus preserving the low density of development and securing a small but valuable parcel of agricultural land which is currently leased to a neighboring farmer for hay production. In additional to its scenic and agricultural values, the field is managed for ground-nesting birds such as the Bobolink, so the farmer works with the WRLF to ensure that harvesting does not occur before fledging. The property is open for public visits in fall and winter.
