The Clark Art Institute will host a write-in on Monday, August 7, 3 til 6, to stimulate creative expression about our local landscapes. Our motive for this event is to inspire creative expression in celebration of the natural and working landscapes of Northern Berkshire. Selfishly, we hope you will submit your writing or artwork to the inaugural issue of the Northern Berkshire Arts & Literature Review. Submissions are due August 31. Submission details are here.
Spend time on the Clark’s 140-acre campus for an immersive writing experience as you embark on your own nature-based writing project. Come with ideas in mind, visit the Humane Ecology: Eight Positions exhibition, or engage with a writing prompt to start putting words on the page. Writers can check in at the Manton Research Center Reading Room, where writing prompts and dedicated space will be provided. Find details here.
This pilot initiative is supported in part by a grant from the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, and by Tupelo Press.
