Join Williamstown Rural Lands and experienced outdoor guide and certified Tai Chi instructor, Mary Hannah Parkman, to experience nature in a new way. Participants will learn the art of mindful movement through Tai Chi. Mary Hannah will guide participants in slow-paced movements that encourage mindfulness and thereby deepen capacity for connection with self, the natural world and one another. Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art, was inspired by nature and designed to enliven “chi” or lifeforce energy for greater vitality. Tai Chi is known to have many health benefits.
This workshop is open to all people and no prior experience is required. Tai Chi practice is accessible to persons with disabilities. Pre-registration is encouraged. Workshop is limited to 12 people. Suggested donation $5 – 10.

Directions: On Rt. 7 coming from Williamstown center (Spring St.), Margaret Lindley Park has a driveway just after the turn to Rt. 2W/Petersburg Pass across from A-Frame Bakery.
Parking at Margaret Lindley Park (1201 Cold Spring Rd., Williamstown). There is a dirt driveway into the site and a medium-sized dirt parking lot with some potholes.
Site accessibility: There are no guaranteed bathrooms or indoor spaces at this site. Hemlock Brook is approximately 0.1 miles from the parking lot. The trail is flat and relatively clear of roots.
Please check the weather before arriving and bring appropriate clothing (warm, non-cotton layers).
