March Cataract Falls
Distance: 2.2 miles
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Hike Leader: Elayne Murphy
In partnership with HooRWA: Hike to one of the lesser-known waterfalls in the Hoosic River watershed. March Cataract Falls is located not too far from where its stream originates on the western summit of Mt. Greylock. This out-and-back hike begins with a wide, flat path. As it approaches the waterfall, the path narrows and becomes a bit steeper and rootier. This falls cascade down a distance of 30 feet.
