Williamstown Rural Lands will offer a hike leader training workshop at Sheep Hill. While this workshop is primarily intended for people leading hikes sponsored by Williamstown Rural Lands, it is open to anyone who would like to improve their skills for leading people outdoors.
Presented by Williams College Outing Club Director, Scott Lewis, the workshop will cover choosing appropriate hikes for groups with a range of abilities and experience, planning and logistics, information to share with participants prior to starting the hike, managing a group of hikers on the trail, and addressing common problems and emergencies on the trail.
The workshop will be held in the Horse Barn at Sheep Hill. This facility is not heated, so dress appropriately for the weather.
