Join us for our on the land portion of Knowing Your Landscape on Sunday, June 25 at 11 am at Cole Field parking area between Eph’s Pond and the driving range (Stetson Rd., Williamstown).
Wetlands are critical ecosystems for water quality, water storage and biodiversity and because of this, they come with a number of regulations about the use of land around them. Come learn on the land with Andre-Anne Chenaille, a wetlands specialist at Guntlow & Associates, Inc. We will explore local wetlands ecosystems while discussing the importance of wetlands to our local environment, when you would employ the services of a wetlands specialist and what happens during a visit, including a delineation demonstration.

Knowing Your Landscape is a free, monthly series of talks and workshops designed to answer questions you might have about land stewardship, anticipate your concerns, and provide information and resources to landowners and land stewards. The series is jointly sponsored by our Talks on the Hill and the Working Lands/Working Hand programs. Participants in the series (and you may attend any or all) will learn about:
- the natural and productive components of the rural landscape,
- policies and regulations applicable to land conservation and management,
- land and natural resource management practices to keep things growing, and
