Wobbly table? Lamp that won’t light? A hole in that elbow?
Bring your tired, your broken, the cast-aways huddled in the corner to the Spring Repair Café, a bi-annual fix-it event organized by the amazing South Williamstown Community Association (SWCA) and hosted by Williamstown Rural Lands at Sheep Hill. Bring your broken stuff on Saturday, April 29, from 1-4pm, 671 Cold Spring Rd. Volunteer fixers will be standing by to do small electrical repairs, blade sharpening, costume jewelry, leather and furniture repairs, and darning and sewing. There’ll be refreshments and computer experts, too, and we are continuing to partner with the BagShare Project to make reusable shopping bags.
Repair Café is free, although donations are accepted. It’s all about helping our neighbors and helping our planet. Refreshments are provided, and kids are welcome. Make a day of it and walk the hill or fish for tadpoles in the pond.
