Winter Tree & Shrub ID with Dr. Eric Doucette
When: November 30th, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Where: Room 317, MCLA’s Feigenbaum Center for Science and Innovation (CSI), 47 Blackinton St., North Adams
Winter has begun! Come learn to identify local winter woody plant species using features such as stems and buds. Participants will learn key terminology and practice hands-on identification. No prior botanical knowledge is required.
Dr. Eric Doucette is an associate professor of biology at MCLA whose work specializes in species-level relationships and classification of the Rose family. One of his current projects is to inventory the vascular plants of the MCLA forest.
