Get to know your farmers! Meet Steve and Maureen Jennings at the Jennings Brook Farm in New Ashford and learn about the production of maple syrup. Participants will be treated to a tour of the sugar house and find out how syrup is produced. WRL educators will offer activities for children and provide other information on the history and techniques of maple sugaring in the Berkshire region from its origins with the Mohican Nation. The visit will culminate with a taste test! This is the first in a series of site visits to our area Working Lands to meet the people who work them!

Registration is required and is limited to 20 participants. Tickets are free for members and $3 per person for non-members. (Under 5 are free.) If you want to become a member, your admission for all Working Lands visits will be free. Become a member. Meet at the Jennings Brook Farm on Saturday March 19th at 12:00 Noon. The visit will last approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Jennings Brook Farm is located at 69 Beach Hill Road, New Ashford.
