This close to 400-acre preserve is the WRLF’s largest, and one of the most popular hiking destinations in Williamstown. The WRLF land encompasses the summit of Pine Cobble, and unusual natural features and plant communities, as well as Bear Spring, a steep boulder field and three trails: the Pine Cobble, Chestnut, and Class of ‘98 Trail that connects the Pine Cobble Trail to the Appalachian Trail. Panoramic views over Williamstown, North Adams and the southern Green Mountains, and unique geology and flora make this a very special area.
