Williamstown Rural Lands is excited to be chosen as the next recipient for Wild Oats Market’s Round Up for Change program!
During the month of July, shoppers at Wild Oats can round up their grocery tab at the register. The difference between their grocery total and the nearest dollar goes to Rural Lands. At the end of the month, Wild Oats will present a cumulative check to WRL to support our conservation work.
Contributions will go towards WRL’s efforts to give back to the land that sustained us during the past year.
Our active projects include:
- the conservation of 18 acres of prime agricultural land that are vital to a family-run dairy farm and to local food security,
- continuing trail work like the rebuilding of the Money Brook/Hopper cutoff bridge, the re-routing of the Berlin Pass Trail, and the enhancement of new trailhead kiosks that WRL installed around town last year, and
- fostering a love of nature in our children by restarting our summer programs at Sheep Hill.
Rural Lands extends its gratitude to the Wild Oats customers who choose to support these conservation efforts through the Round Up for Change program.
