Dear Public:
You may notice that there’s a farmhouse visible now on Cold Spring Road!
We’ve had a few tremendous and aging non-native trees removed from the front of our property, and now passersby can appreciate the lines of our nineteenth century farmhouse. These Norway spruce have been wonderful sentinels at the entrance of our world headquarters at Sheep Hill, but it is time for them to make way for native vegetation.
We are donating the voluminous biomass to a local miller, who will convert them to much-needed lumber. A reminder: to avoid deforestation in Siberia and the Amazon, and support local livelihoods, please buy native lumber when you can.
